Key Takeaways
- PandaDoc has strong reach in contract management software answers, but its first-place placement rate trails key competitors.
- Most recorded wording about PandaDoc is positive or neutral, so the main issue is endorsement strength rather than tone.
- The most disputed claims cluster around free-plan limits, making primary-source verification the first priority.
- Priority pages and cited third-party sources should be reviewed against buyer questions about e-signature and contract management software.
Answer Capsule
In November 2026, PandaDoc appeared in 237 of 375 AI answers included in the Contract Management Software benchmark (63.20%). It received 101 recommendations (26.93%), with 46 Top 3 placements and 17 first-place recommendations. A mention means the company appeared in an answer; a recommendation means the answer affirmatively endorsed it.
Our plan compares the company with its competitors, checks conflicting AI claims against reliable sources, and identifies website pages, third-party sources and buyer questions to address. The historical results show how the figures changed across available months. Different monthly samples limit those comparisons, and conflicting AI claims require verification before corrections are proposed.

Questions This Section Answers
- How do PandaDoc mentions, recommendations and placements compare with its Contract Management Software peers?
PandaDoc recorded 237 mentions (63.20%) and 101 recommendations (26.93%) across 375 answers included in the benchmark. Top 3 placements numbered 46; first-place recommendations numbered 17. Framing among its mentions was 112 positive, 125 neutral and 0 negative.
Rank | Company | Mentions | Mention rate | Recommendations | Recommendation rate | Top 3 | Top 3 rate | #1 | #1 rate |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | 336 | 89.60% | 120 | 32.00% | 77 | 20.53% | 32 | 8.53% | |
2 | 235 | 62.67% | 101 | 26.93% | 80 | 21.33% | 58 | 15.47% | |
2 | PandaDoc | 237 | 63.20% | 101 | 26.93% | 46 | 12.27% | 17 | 4.53% |
4 | 160 | 42.67% | 73 | 19.47% | 27 | 7.20% | 2 | 0.53% | |
5 | 186 | 49.60% | 58 | 15.47% | 39 | 10.40% | 7 | 1.87% | |
6 | 137 | 36.53% | 51 | 13.60% | 27 | 7.20% | 9 | 2.40% | |
7 | 103 | 27.47% | 36 | 9.60% | 15 | 4.00% | 2 | 0.53% | |
8 | 93 | 24.80% | 33 | 8.80% | 8 | 2.13% | 0 | 0.00% | |
9 | 82 | 21.87% | 24 | 6.40% | 8 | 2.13% | 4 | 1.07% | |
10 | 68 | 18.13% | 17 | 4.53% | 1 | 0.27% | 0 | 0.00% |
PandaDoc sits near the top of this set on reach, appearing in roughly three of every five answers, and its recommendation count matches the second-ranked competitor. The gap opens on placement: when PandaDoc is named, it is far less often put forward as the leading choice. That is the practical issue for a buyer scanning a short answer, because a mention without endorsement leaves the choice open.
Framing is not the constraint. Almost all recorded wording about PandaDoc was positive or neutral, with nothing negative. The work therefore belongs in how strongly and how specifically the product is endorsed, not in repairing tone. We would build a scorecard that tracks reach, endorsement and placement as separate measures so the client can see which one moves.
What changed since last month
Questions This Section Answers
- How did PandaDoc counts and coverage differ across the available monthly snapshots?
Metric | Jul 2026 | Sep 2026 | Oct 2026 | Nov 2026 |

Only months with verified results are shown. Monthly sample coverage is listed in Methodology.
From October 2026 to November 2026, PandaDoc's mention count fell from 314 to 237, while its recommendation count fell from 241 to 101. The recommendation rate was 50.10% and 26.93% respectively.
The November sample shows fewer mentions and markedly fewer recommendations than October, and placement counts moved in the same direction. The rates fell alongside the counts. These are separate monthly samples, so the movement describes what was recorded, not why it happened; a smaller answer set does not by itself explain a lower rate.
October also stood out from the months before it, which makes a single month a weak baseline. We would treat the recent months as a sequence to watch rather than a trend to react to, and set the comparison against a rolling view once fresh samples are collected.

Step 1. Measure
Questions This Section Answers
- What should the agency measure and verify first for PandaDoc?
AI answers contained 14 conflicting claims about PandaDoc: 0 critical, 6 high, 7 medium, 1 low. Of these, 6 were rated critical or high priority; the critical claims are included in that total. These ratings help prioritize fact-checking. They do not establish that a company or publisher made an error.
The most useful first step is a side-by-side view of where PandaDoc appears relative to the competitors named in the same answers, since reach alone hides the placement gap. Alongside it, we would assemble the disputed claims into a working list ranked by severity, with the high-priority items reviewed first.
That list is a prioritization tool, not a finding of error. Each claim needs its entity, date and original source confirmed before anyone decides whether a correction is warranted, and some apparent conflicts may dissolve once dates are separated.
Step 2. Make the website consistent
Questions This Section Answers
- Which recorded claim differences about PandaDoc should be verified before proposed page edits?
Review topic | Severity | Recorded AI claim A | Recorded AI claim B |
|---|---|---|---|
free plan e-signature document limit | high | 5 e-signatures per month | unlimited eSignatures on uploaded documents |
free plan document limit | medium | 60 documents per year | small number of monthly document sends |
free plan document limit | medium | 60 documents per year | small number of monthly document sends |
free plan sending limit | medium | up to 60 documents per year | around 3 to 5 documents per month |
Both columns quote AI answers, not verified company facts. Resolve the entity, date and source before deciding whether a correction is warranted; different dates can explain an apparent conflict.
The disputed topics cluster around the free plan: how many signatures and documents it allows, and whether limits are monthly or annual. The recorded answers disagree with each other, and both sides are AI statements rather than confirmed company facts. Different plan versions or dates could account for the difference.
We would verify the current published terms directly with the client before drafting anything. Only then would we prepare page briefs that state the approved limits plainly, so the same figures appear wherever the free plan is described.
Step 3. Align the external narrative
Questions This Section Answers
- Which cited third-party pages are relevant to fact review for PandaDoc?
Cited page selected for review | Citation appearances in all captured answers | Answers mentioning the company | Conflicting claims linked to this page |
|---|---|---|---|
https://docusign.com/learn/free-electronic-signature | 39 | 16 | 8 |
https://adobe.com/acrobat/online/sign-pdf.html | 13 | 1 | 6 |
https://signfree.io/ | 29 | 14 | 4 |
https://docusign.com/products/electronic-signature/signers | 41 | 12 | 4 |
https://esign.com/ | 20 | 10 | 4 |
https://docusign.com/products/mobile | 22 | 14 | 3 |
These pages were selected because they relate to the company in the captured answers. Their current contents still need checking before any correction request. A page linked to a conflicting claim is not necessarily its cause, and the same answer may contribute to more than one row.
Several of the pages most often cited alongside PandaDoc belong to other providers, including competitor learning pages and free-signing tools. The captured answers show that buyers encounter these pages when comparing options, but a citation alone does not show that a page shaped what an answer said. Their current contents still need checking before any correction request.
We would review the selected pages for how they describe free e-signature limits, then decide which, if any, warrant a factual request to the publisher. Requests would rest on verified evidence, and we would record responses separately from confirmed edits.
Step 4. Optimize priority company pages
Questions This Section Answers
- Which observed PandaDoc website pages should receive review briefs?
Company website page | Citation appearances in all captured answers | Benchmark answers citing the page | Recommending answers citing the page |
|---|---|---|---|
https://pandadoc.com/free-electronic-signature-software/ | 67 | 34 | 13 |
https://pandadoc.com/blog/best-electronic-signature-software/ | 22 | 17 | 15 |
https://pandadoc.com/contract-management-software/ | 22 | 22 | 5 |
https://pandadoc.com/alternatives/docusign/ | 16 | 1 | 1 |
https://pandadoc.com/electronic-signature-software/ | 14 | 12 | 9 |
https://pandadoc.com/blog/docusign-alternatives/ | 13 | 3 | 0 |
https://pandadoc.com/ | 11 | 8 | 6 |
https://pandadoc.com/blog/best-contract-management-software/ | 10 | 5 | 4 |
The company's website was cited 317 times across 73 distinct page addresses; the table shows 8 pages selected for review. Zeros in the answer columns mean no matching answers were recorded. A cited page is not automatically a page that accompanied a recommendation.
PandaDoc's own site is cited widely, and the free e-signature page carries the heaviest load, including a meaningful share of recommending answers. The comparison and alternatives pages are cited far less often and rarely appear alongside a recommendation, which suggests they are doing a different job for the reader.
We would prepare briefs for the priority pages using approved facts and the questions buyers actually ask, starting with the free-plan limits. Each brief would note existing coverage first, so we extend pages rather than duplicate them.
Step 5. Publish around buyer questions
Questions This Section Answers
- Which observed buyer questions support content briefs for PandaDoc?
Question observed in the research | Benchmark answers to this question | Company mentions | Company recommendations |
|---|---|---|---|
What is the best software for contract management? | 6 | 6 | 5 |
What is the best contract management software? | 6 | 4 | 4 |
What is the best eSignature platform? | 4 | 4 | 4 |
What is the best software for contracts? | 4 | 4 | 4 |
What is the best electronic signature software? | 4 | 4 | 3 |
What is the best digital signature software? | 3 | 3 | 3 |
What is the best document signing software? | 3 | 3 | 3 |
What is the best e-signature platform? | 3 | 3 | 3 |
These are recorded answer observations, not search volume, verified demand, or proof of missing website content.
The recorded questions are almost all best-software prompts across contract management and e-signature, and PandaDoc is named in most of the answers to them. That is a strong starting position, but the questions are broad and the answers reward clear, comparable product facts.
We would check whether existing pages already answer these questions well, then brief content around the specific buyer concerns the answers raise, such as plan limits and how the product compares. Any new page would follow that coverage check rather than precede it.
Our 90-day action plan
Questions This Section Answers
- How should the agency sequence the proposed PandaDoc work and judge completion?
Period | Deliverable | Completion criterion |
|---|---|---|
Days 1–30 | Baseline scorecard, scoped fact-review register and page/source shortlist | Each record has an owner, evidence requirement and review status |
Days 31–60 | Approved page briefs and justified publisher requests | Separate confirmed edits, no-change decisions, requests and responses |
Days 61–90 | Buyer-content briefs and a fresh scorecard | Record work completed separately from measured answer outcomes and comparability limits |
The first month establishes the baseline: a scorecard separating reach, endorsement and placement, a scoped list of claims to verify with named owners, and a shortlist of pages and sources to review. Nothing is corrected at this stage.
The second month turns verified facts into page briefs and, where justified, publisher requests, with confirmed edits, no-change decisions and responses logged apart. The third month adds buyer-question content briefs and a fresh scorecard. Completed work is reported separately from any change in answer results.
Methodology
Questions This Section Answers
- How are PandaDoc answer metrics and citation populations defined?
This report covers 2026-11. The exact dates when the original AI answers were collected have not been verified. The visibility rates use 375 answers that met the benchmark's inclusion rules. A company is recommended only when the answer both endorses it and uses positive wording. Top 3 and first-place counts are part of those recommendations, not extra recommendations.
An answer can mention or recommend several companies, so company counts cannot be added to find the number of distinct answers. The net sentiment score is positive minus negative mentions, divided by all company mentions; it describes answer wording, not customer satisfaction.
The wider citation analysis covers 800 captured answers and 5498 appearances of cited URLs. Citation appearances across all captured answers differ from the number of benchmark answers citing a page and the number that also recommend a company. The current contents of cited pages and disputed company claims still need independent verification.
Monthly sample coverage:
Reporting month | Answers included | AI services covered | Services |
|---|---|---|---|
Jul 2026 | 468 | 6 | ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity |
Sep 2026 | 482 | 6 | ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity |
Oct 2026 | 481 | 6 | ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity |
Nov 2026 | 375 | 6 | ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity |
Reliable results for August 2026 are unavailable. This is a gap in the history, not a result of zero.
The answer samples differ between months. These comparisons show how the recorded results changed; they do not establish why they changed.
The answers were captured without confirmed collection dates, and the monthly samples differ in size and composition, so comparisons show what was recorded rather than why. Recommendation requires both an endorsement and positive wording, and placement counts sit inside recommendations rather than adding to them.
Cited pages and disputed claims have not been independently checked. A citation shows a page appeared in an answer, not that it shaped the wording, and the same answer can touch several companies and pages.
Our first three priorities
First, verify the free-plan limits against current primary sources, since the disputed claims concentrate there and the client can settle them directly. Second, brief the heavily cited free e-signature page around those approved facts and the buyer questions the research surfaced, checking existing coverage before adding anything.
Third, review the competitor and third-party pages most often cited alongside PandaDoc and decide, on verified evidence, whether any factual request is justified. Throughout, we would keep reach, endorsement and placement on separate scorecards so progress is judged on the measure that actually needs to move.
